Mulyungi Totally Rejects Coal Mining In Mui Coal Basin

MWINGI- There will be no mining of coal deposits in Mui Coal Basin, afterall.

That is until residents are fully involved to give consent in accordance with the Constitution and Mining Act, MP Mulyungi has said.

Mwingi Central MP Gideon Mulyungi has totally *rejected coal mining* in Mui Basin and thrown his weight behind area leaders and *residents* who have rejected coal mining in toto.




Citing lack of awareness and public participation* forums in the matter Hon. Mulyungi made this point clear when he hosted the Parliamentary commitee on Energy* at Mathuki last week.


The popular Wiper legislator who possess strong anti-corruption pathos said;

"Coal mining remains an enigma to everyone, especially the residents of Mui.
I  have therefore totally rejected coal mining in Mui Basin following the will of the people. 

The residents have rejected coal mining in the Mui coal basin" said the MP today when asked to clarify his position regarding the expedition whose feasibility studies are said to have been rushed.



' You can not put the cart before the horse. The Mwingi Central MP has therefore made it clear that there will be no mining of coal deposits in Mui Basin whatsoever" clarified Patrick Kimanzi, the Director of Communications to the Wiper Strongman yesterday.
