NGUNI: Mwingi Central MP Gideon Mulyungi yesterday helped Kalanga Secondary School in Nguni Ward raise 1.65M by donating 1.1M to complete and upgrade stalled structures in the institution.

Recalling his long  history with the school while addressing reporters at Kalanga town where the legislator also met parents of a nearby Syumiku Pry Sch -- another derelict eyesore and a ramshackle of an institution whose half-built classroom projects were abandoned by the former county government administration leaving it in tatters, the Wiper MP  explained;

"My history with Kalanga is chequered and a long one. I started building this school *6* years back before I even dreamt of becoming an MP. I build two classes and a Laboratory. Cosmas can bear me witness that we started with only 8 students back then!"

Kalanga BOM chairman Cosmas Kimanzi who doubles as the *Mwingi Central Professionals Association* Chairman Cosmas Kimanzi caused laughter when he suggested that if all schools in Mwingi are not renamed - GIDEON MULYUNGI TSUNAMI SCHOOLS - he will mobilise students in more than 187 to demonstrate.

"There is not a school in Mwingi which Hon. Mulyungi has not visited. A school where you do not see the mark of his benevolent hands.

"They don't call him a global architect for nothing!"

Former Nguni Councilor Kitili added that it will be a daunting task to win the Mwingi Central Constituency seat after  MP Mulyungi's two consecutive terms expire.

"Tsunami is pilling the stakes too high for future  aspirants" remarked Kitili eliciting more more laughter from those in attendance.

Ends.
