KYULUNGWA, WAITA, MWINGI Sunday -Wiper MP and Mwingi Central development maestro Gideon Mulyungi was at his top philanthropic element today -- dishing over a half a million shillings in MP goodies to schools, churches and a women self help group in Kyulungwa, Waita Ward, local media reported on Sunday.

The fiery legislator in the afternoon graced the Sunday church service at Glory Evangelism Cornerstone church -- which he supported with 180 roofing sheets last year after a gale destroyed the roofing apparatus.

Today, the global architect and former Works PS in the successful Kibaki Raila administration helped the church raise slightly over Ksh 170,000, where he donated Ksh 50,000 to aid complete the house of God with doors and windows donated by local professionals Paul Matiti, Kilonzi Muthuka, DCC Mutie Nzungo, teachers and area businessmen.

Kathilo Self Help Group Gets Reprieve, MP Calls For Water Catchment Proposal



Nearby, at a water catchment run by Kathilo Self Help group, the MP donated foodstuffs for hard working women who break stones to aid construct two sand dams. He also urged them to foward a proposal to his esteemed office for consideration.



Kyulungwa Secondary Jubilation

And finally, a thunderous applause shattered the dusty air, coming from none other than the over 200 students at the nascent Kyulungwa Day Secondary School, where the benevolent MP, who had donated Ksh 250,000 for renovations only two months ago, jubilation rent the air as students, led by Principal Mr Imonye mobbed the legislator who did not disappoint.

" I will pay for your school trip and I also promise to level the school playing field with a tractor and fence the field. And a dormitory if the day becomes a boarding will be considered" said the Mwingi Central MP Gideon Mulyungi.
