Mulyungi Cautions On K-CHIC, Urges Uhuru NHIF

MWINGI - Kitui County firebrand Wiper legislator Dr. Gideon Mulyungi is urging residents to excercise caution and restrain as they register for the much touted Kitui County Health Insurance cover (K-Chic).

The MP is calling for a feasibility study and a model and proper pilot projecting to ascertain if K-CHIC can afford to clear full hospital bills if patients' balance run into millions.

"Kitui people should register for the time-tested, robust NHIF medical cover" he said.



Speaking on Saturday at Kivui town when he inspected road works along Mutwangombe-Nyanyaa road which is undergoing massive and rigorous renovation by a 'Tsunami" branded tractor, Hon. Mulyungi told the crowd to "register en-masse for the old, trusted NHIF card which he launched two months ago in Mwingi.



The NHIF card, launched by President Uhuru Kenyatta costs Ksh 1,500 to register.



" My dear friends, be vigilant and watch out, this could be another Ndegu scam in the making. Once bitten, twice shy" said the development-oriented legislator, without elaborating further.

He was addressing an impromptu gathering when his convoy made a detour stopover at Kivui, Mbaa Moki and Mutwangombe towns in Waita Ward after donating Ksh 210,000 MP goodies to Kivui AIC and Caanan International Revival churches where he graced the Sunday Sevice.

The money will aid complete the ongoing building of the twin houses of God.
