Kalonzo In UK Tour To Rev Up 2022 Bid

BIRMINGHAM, UK- Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has kick-started his 2022’s bid to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta with international tours to market his party.



Kalonzo who is among top politicians eyeing the presidential seat in 2022 is currently in Birmingham, United Kingdom on a mission to market his party.

On Saturday last week, Kalonzo met the members of Wiper Democratic Movement Party, United Kingdom Chapter in Birmingham.

According to sources within the party, Kalonzo intends to market the party internationally as he seeks to contest for presidency in the next polls.



Sources also indicate that Kalonzo is lobbying for funding from international friends, well-wishers as he prepares for the 2022 presidential battle.

“The Wiper Party leader is seeking to put in place a formidable force that will see him capture the 2022 top seat,” a confidential source said.

In his address in Birmingham, Kalonzo said the party will engage with other like-minded leaders locally and internationally.

He said part of his manifesto is to fight corruption and tribalism.

Kalonzo said graft and impunity is what is ailing the country.

“We are going to reach out to like minded political parties and leaders to build national political alliances that will eliminate graft and guarantee equality for all Kenyans,” Kalonzo said as quoted by a local daily.

According to political analysts, Kalonzo is not taking chances as he builds his 2022 presidential ambition.

“He is a clever politician and might surprising moves as we approach 2022,” says political pundit, Peter Ngure.

There are speculations that Kalonzo could partner with Deputy President William Ruto in 2022.

It is rumored that DP Ruto met a section of Kitui MPs two weeks ago, though the agenda of the meeting remains top secret.
Kalonzo has not ruled out seeking partnership with other top politicians ahead of the 2022 polls.

Kalonzo’s party also seeks to re-brand before the much anticipated 2022 general election.
