ENZIU TRAGEDY: Wiper Mp Rushed To Site 4 Times, Donating 50K, Hiring Divers As Kitui Came Empty Handed Chest Thumping In A Chopper 18 Days As Bodies Rot

Enziu, Mwingi---When four mourners and a student drowned in the Enziu bridge death trap and Ivuusya dam three weeks ago, popular area Mp Gideon Mulyungi immediately rushed to the twin disaster sites, donating Ksh. 50,000 while hiring private divers to help in retrieving trapped bodies, accompanied by area MCA Jefferson Kiruru.
Now, 18 days later, the Kitui news machinery, adept at fake publicity for the happy-go-lucky regime that appears to run naked, landed in choppers but empty handed, to the utter dismay and anguish to mourning who have been spending cold and sleepless nights at the twin sites of the tragedy.
As we speak, the County Government is thumping its chest for mobilizing heavy county equipment 3 weeks later, in a cheap bid aimed at overshadowing all efforts made before via personal efforts by the area leaders including the MP and Nguni MCA who responded to the distress calls immediately the tragedy struck, said Nguni MCA Jefferson Kiruru on Monday speaking to MP PRESS.
