MWINGI- A budding local youthful politician in Mwingi Central Ward Alex Maingi has urged  youths in the locality to shun devisive politics and instead form youth groups - so as to benefit for *Uwezo Funds.

The young Wiper-leaning politician is also pleading with area MP Gideon Mulyungi to ensure that all the 6 administrative Wards get equal Uwezo Funds this year.

Mulyungi The Fiery Anti-Corruption Czar

Last month, the MP, who is the anti-corruption Czar in the region, stormed the local Uwezo offices and found conspicuous discrepancies and glaring anomalies regarding the allocations of Uwezo funds.

"Some wards were allocated double amounts while others got almost a zilch" said the Wiper strongman.

While urging youths to shun drugs and bad influence, Alex Maingi said;

"Don't follow and trust politicians who are only interested in your votes, instead unite for a purpose and apply for Uwezo and Government youth and women funds" said the gung-ho politician whose followers include University comrades.

Local Uwezo Manager Was Dead Wrong!

"The local Uwezo manager told me that once the list is submitted to Nairobi, nothing can be done. He was dead wrong!" said the MP speaking to reporters at a function in Mwingi a fortnight ago.

MP detected Glaring Anomalies

The MP would later pay a courtesy call to the PS who annulled and  rectified the said anomalies.

Adequate sensitization on procedures  & requisite guidelines on who qualifies before funds roll-out

The legislator later chaired a mutual roundtable meeting with concerned parties, and the manager.

The MP,  whilst advising for adequate sensitization on procedures including requisite guidelines on who qualifies to apply for the loans, urged his constituents to register CBOs, Women and Youth groups.

The Uwezo Fund is a flagship programme* for vision 2030 aimed at enabling women, youth and persons with disability* access *finances to promote businesses and enterprises at the *constituency level,* thereby enhancing economic growth towards the realization of the same and the UN SDGs, reads a statement posted on the fund website.

*Don't Put The Cart Before The Horse*

" It's only upon conclusion of all these key factors, that the Uwezo distribution of the said funds will commence, to be rolled out equitably in all 6 wards" said the former works *PS* whose famous CDF bursaries were cited as the most transparent this side of Sahara.

*No Red Tape Bureaucracy With Tsunami*

"With Tsunami there is no red-tape bureaucracy that has been used by politicians to pull a wool over the eyes or the people. No stone will be left unturned as long as my mandate lasts" the firebrand MP said.

*Transparency & Information Is How We Roll in Mwingi*

"Almost all people in Mwingi have my direct line including the old and the young - and even prisoners.

*MP Real-Time Social Media 20K Daily Hits*

"Add that to my real-tme social media platforms and get the drift of how we roll in Mwingi - open, transparent and fast!.  Information empowers decision making.
