Flamboyant Wiper Mp Gideon Mulyungi yesterday waded into the controversy that is Family Planning, and told Kamba people to shun long-term family planning methods, local media reported.
'Family Planning? What family planning? retorted the fiery legislator.
'The truth is that Kambas are being targeted so that our population remains minimal. We can use other methods but not long-term family planning. We need people to vote, just like the other tribes' said the popular Mp after distributing foodstuffs, blankets, iron sheets and new planting seeds more than 400 people displaced by floods at Kathumo and Kathonweni in the extremes of Mui Ward.
So what is Family Planning?
Family planning services are defined as "educational, comprehensive medical or social activities which enable individuals, including minors, to determine freely the number and spacing of their children and to select the means by which this may be achieved".
