MWINGI-A Kenyan medical researcher is set to meet Tanzania President Pombe Magufuli this month to appraise and replicate a feasible project similar to Kenya's First Lady Margret Kenyatta Beyond Zero campaign, in a move to escalate averting maternal deaths in the East African country, local media reported Monday.

John Kyalo Muthuka, a premier KMTC lecturer and a prolific medical researcher has been on roll across Africa drumming up the Beyond Zero vision campaign which is saving thousands of maternal deaths in Kenya, the Beyond Zero statistics portal showed on their website.

Last year, after presenting a paper on Maternal HIV immune reconstruction syndrome to DRC President Pierre Nkurunziza, John Kyalo urged African nations, beset by hunger, poverty and whose children are stalked by death immediately after birthto replicate the program whose success spiral has won hearts and minds in Zanzibar, Ethiopia and Rwandasolely through his initiatives.

The pharmacy, biomedicine, nutrition, public health and epidemiologist expert who has given a marathon of key medical talks in Bujumbura, Durban and Amsterdam during the 6th East African Health Scientific Conference, has been inducted by calls to present his research in Africa.

'Its is time for Africa to recognise that death stalks its children immediately after birth. My research is key to mitigate the monster' he said speaking to MP PRESS in Mwingi.

Last year, the KMTC researcher, a native of Mwingi Central, Kitui in the Hon. Gideon Mulyungi constituency, was feted by Kenya's First Lady due to his research efforts.© MP PRESS
