One On One With Masterpiece, Teen Song Choice of the Award, Groove Awards 2018



Q1.Your electric show in your hometown Mwingi, Kitui County was graced by more than 10,000 teens including the area MP. Please tell me more about this mammoth show?

A. The show was this huge (gesticulates). It was my debut homecoming performance since bagging the Teen Song Choice of the Year award at the Grooves (sic). All my Kitui shows were organised by DJ Mo of Mo Sounds and supported by the local popular MP. Dj Mo tagged along with 20,000 Watts backed up with twirling neon lights on the stage. Its true, more than 10,000 teenagers danced while singing along my "Chini ya Mwamba" hit till late!

Q2. On June 24at the Groove Awardsyour gospel hit swept past more than 10 nominees to bag the coveted Teens Song Choice of the Year; please tell us more about this massive hitsong that catapulted you to the epicenter of local showbiz?

A. My song, *Chini ya Mwamba* was produced by XXX, But mind you Kimanzi, this was not my first shot at the Grooves. No! I had done XXX and XXX before I had this intuition to belt the song that has been winning the pysche of my teen fans.Its available for download online.

Q3. In your opinion, the Kenyan volatile showbiz is awash with one hit wonders who vanish off the map and relegated to industry dustins after a short-lived success? Could Masterpiece be just another one of those?
