By PATRICK KIMANZI, MP PRESS Editor
MWINGI -The ambitious project aimed at constructing, rehabilitating and installing modern colour roofs in more than 700 classes across 180 primary schools in Mwingi Central constituency is on course considering that the first batch of roofing materials has arrived in Mwingi, MP PRESS can authoritatively report.

Our MP PRESS correspondent on Saturday counted trucks arriving and ofloading the first consignment at a Mwingi hotel godown as top Wiper honchos Gideon Mulyungi, EALA Mp Ken Musyoka and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka inspected the activity, en-route to Nguni where the trio attended Senior Chief Mulae retirement fete.

"I did a thorough inspection through Nguni a Nuu and Mui Wards. The mapping of 180 schools is ongoing and the pilot project is already underway.
" You can also report that I have more than 50 young men making earthen bricks near schools from whom I will buy bricks from. I am upbeat to uplift educational standards in Mwingi as my 5 year MP Manifesto attests" said Gideon Mulyungi speaking to parents in Sosoma, a volatile enclave lying on the fringes of his vast constituency which has borne the brunt of Somali bandit attacks in recent years.
