Kitui-Legislators drawn from Kitui County on Friday gave a wide berth to Governor HE Charity Ngilu's mineral push in Mui Basin, instead giving a priority to HE Kalonzo Musyoka's Wiper retreat at Naivasha, local media reported Friday.
At Kefri hall where stakeholders and delegates drawn from the so-called Kitui mining belt met the governor, a lone Kitui Central Mp Makali Mulu was at pains trying to convince delegates why his colleagues snubbed such an 'important economic forum'.

On Thursday at Enziu river, the Mp insinuated that the excavators headed to Mui will not be allowed to cross Tyaa river unless 'my people are given title deeds, schools, hospitals and compensated to relinquish their ancestral lands'.
