Kitui Mps Snub Ngilu Mineral Push In Mui Basin.
By MP PRESS in Mui
Kitui-Legislators drawn from Kitui County on Friday gave a wide berth to Governor HE Charity Ngilu's mineral push in Mui Basin, instead giving a priority to HE Kalonzo Musyoka's Wiper retreat at Naivasha, local media reported Friday.
At Kefri hall where stakeholders and delegates drawn from the so-called Kitui mining belt met the governor, a lone Kitui Central Mp Makali Mulu was at pains trying to convince delegates why his colleagues snubbed such an 'important economic forum'.
'Kalonzo Rendezvous'

On the other hand, the Ukambani legislators were having a rendezvous retreat in Naivasha chaired by kingping HE Kalonzo Musyoka.
' Its is not a snub. You media people want to create a storm out of a tea cup. We are at Naivasha where the kingpin is' retorted Wiper development maestro Gideon Mulyungi, speaking on phone from a Wiper retreat in Naivasha when the media asked him about the snub.

'Misplaced priorities'
Meanwhile the Mp said the happy-go-lucky governor should work on providing reprieve to hundreds of victims displaced by floods in Mui, instead of pushing for explorations of mines that would eventually exploit the locals.
Mulyungi donated to 400 In Mui
'Did you report that i gave out personal donations of foodstuffs, blankets, planting seeds and iron sheets at Kathumo and Kathonzweni to more than 400 victims to re- plant shambas and rebuild their houses?. What is this mining thing that is being pushed down the people throats by Kitui? These are misplaced priorities for the people of Mui Basin' retorted the
fiery Mp.

'Ngilu Excavators Won't Cross Tyaa'- Wiper Mp
On Thursday at Enziu river, the Mp insinuated that the excavators headed to Mui will not be allowed to cross Tyaa river unless 'my people are given title deeds, schools, hospitals and compensated to relinquish their ancestral lands'.
